The Garden City

Bordering Abu Dhabi and Dubai, Al Ain is the gateway to the vast Rub Al Kaial or Empty Quarter on one side and a key border crossing for visitors travelling to Oman. A capital city located in the middle of the UAE, Al Ain is a surprisingly busy modern oasis city sitting at the base of the Hajar Mountains. The climb into these mountains not only offers stunning panoramic vistas of the surrounding desert and oasis city, but also offers a cool respite from the fierce desert heat.

Al Ain is also an agricultural center providing the rest of the UAE with fresh produce from vegetables to dairy and poultry and most notably a wonderful selection of scrumptious dates for which the Oasis is famous.

The Greenest of all Emirates- Al Ain, the garden city is 120 km’s from Dubai. The area boosts farms of vegetables and date trees. The city is famous for its green gardens and museums and one of the major attractions is a beautiful landscape, and a bird’s eye view- Jabel Hafeet- the tallest mountain in the UAE.

Al Ain’s camel farm is surrounded by camel race track and semi arid deserts. The Al Ain Palace museum, residence of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan from 1927 until the 70’s, boasts beautifully decorated majlis (meeting room).
